This spring, I had the unique opportunity to collaborate with a dear friend and seasoned real estate investor to bring this charming farmhouse that dates back a hundred years, nestled just outside of Round Top, Texas. I styled and furnished the home to sale, yet my heart still feels a bit heavy that we didn’t keep it for ourselves!

With Round Top season just around the corner, I was reminded that I had not properly shared this special place with you yet here on HOUSE of HARPER!

This lovely two-bedroom, two-bath farmhouse serves as the ideal getaway, conveniently located between Houston and Austin, and just 15 minutes from the now-famous Round Top, Texas, where visitors flock from around the globe twice a year for the antique show.

In choosing furniture and textiles for this project, I embraced the rustic charm and country lifestyle. My goal was to create a warm, inviting atmosphere that felt lived-in from the very first day—a perfect retreat for weekend gatherings, where you can kick off your boots and let the kids roam free and get a little messy.

I sourced local antiques from my favorite hometown dealer, Canterbury Court Antiques, regularly visited my go-to resale shop, Upper Kirby Consignment, and even found a fabulous pair of custom chairs from my friend and designer, Katie Davis, at her pop-up shop. When furnishing a home for sale, we aim for a swift turnaround to have the property photographed and listed, which doesn’t always allow for custom furnishings. However, I’m thrilled with how beautifully this project came together and hope the new owners love it as much as I do!
