I am sharing a fun mini bathroom makeover in the boy’s bathroom today! Clorox® Scentiva™ sent us their new line of products created with the destination-inspired scent Pacific Breeze & Coconut™. They inspired me to transform our bathroom into a tropical paradise to pair with the clean and fresh smell that transports your senses to an exotic escape.
I decided to take the challenge in the boy’s bathroom because let’s be honest, that’s where I am always cleaning and recleaning. I actually don’t even put away our Clorox, it typically sits on top of the counter for easy access unless I know we have guest coming over. (Any other boy moms out there know what I mean?!) We are experiencing one of the worst flu and strep seasons this year so viruses and bacteria are not to be taken lightly in our household. You all know how much I try to only use natural and organic products in our home, but when it comes to cleaning our bathrooms there simply isn’t a substitute for Clorox. Clorox® Scentiva™ Disinfecting Wipes kill 99.9 percent of viruses and bacteria including cold and flu viruses, Staph, E. coli, MRSA, Salmonella, Strep and more on hard, non-porous surfaces. And since I believe we shouldn’t have to choose between products that are effective and products that smell good, I love that Clorox® Scentiva™ products provide the trusted cleaning and disinfecting power of your favorite Clorox products with amazing new destination-inspired scents.
I thought it would be fun to share easy and cost-effective ways you can give your bathroom a mini-makeover – with a coconut paradise-inspired twist.
Pick a Theme:
I chose a beachy nautical theme for the boys bathroom to keep their space young and fun. I also love the idea of the ever so popular palm print or pink flamingos for a whimsical take on a tropical paradise. And of course, you can never go wrong with a calm and serene coral and mint green beachy color pallet.
Stick to A Color Scheme
For the boys nautical, beachy escape I stuck to blues and neutrals. I loved the idea of having their toes in the sand with the sand and seashell mats. For the hand towels, I kept things simple with navy and white stripes. My favorite little nook is the shower area with the beach waves curtain and shark mat, perfect for a little boy’s pacific paradise!
Make it a place you want to escape to.
A tropical getaway is fun and retreating to your bathroom should be too! I picked up a few fun new tropical toys to keep in the boys bathtub and they are a huge hit! Andrew hasn’t put the orange fish down!
Treat Yourself
What do you love the most about retreating to your bathroom? Is it a warm bubble bath and a stack of magazines, a facemask or maybe a plush robe? Whatever it is that makes you happy, surround yourself with those things to create a truly luxurious escape.
Personalize It
I am a big fan of the power of personalization. Don’t forget the finishing touches like monogram towels!
Keep It Clean
A nice, peaceful bathroom is only truly enjoyable when it’s clean. I have a hard time relaxing or focusing when I am surrounded by a mess – whether it is my office or my bathroom, I need a clean space to clear my head. It is important to me to provide the same clean, healthy environment for the boys, as well. Thanks to Clorox, I have the peace of mind of a germ free clean and healthy space for the boys to play and bath. Little boys can be messy, but their bathroom doesn’t have to be.

I love all of the blue in there! It looks so bright and cheerful!
And I agree, when the flu is bad, nothing is better than bleach to clean all the gross germs away. Im a school counselor so I feel like I am constantly washing away germs from me and everything I touch.

Where is your shower curtain from?
I was wondering the same thing too! Where are the shower curtain and rug from?
They’re from Target!
Thank you so much for this post. I really found it helpful.
