I started working on this post because it is a most requested post via questions I get on Instagram DMs, but I just realized (thanks to a sweet reader!) that it is also the Sephora VIB Sale! So, I rearranged our editorial calendar to share this with you now so hopefully you can take advantage of some perks and sales if you see anything you need.
You will recognize several items from past post because as much as I try new things, over the years I have found what works and always go back to a few tried and true favorites. So, without further ado, here is my everyday makeup routine (on days I actually wear makeup). ๐

This is a new color pallet for me. I saw it at Sephora and thought it was so beautiful so I bought it even though I don’t usually wear eye make-up for day. These colors are so subtle and beautiful it makes me want to wear it more! I use the top left on my lower lid and the bottom right in my creases. For fun, sometimes I add a little of the pink sparkle (bottom left) to my creases, as well. My new favorite and getting lots of compliments!
When I am doing a full face of makeup, this is everything I use on my eyes. I always fill in my brows with the IT Cosmetics brow pencil. I like it because it is such a small tip so it looks more natural. I line my top lid with Mac eye liner and pile on the Dior Show mascara. I love full lashes and this is the best at getting length and volume. Lastly, I use the Benefit eye bright on the inside corners of my eyes to brighten and open the eyes. This is also great to use under your eye brows, as well. Brightening is often overlooked, but makes such a difference when you do it!
After having Andrew (well, both of the boys actually), my melasma was so bad I decided to get a peel to help get rid of it. (The Melange peel at Nigro Dermatology is the best thing I have done!) Before that, I was too self conscious of my dark spots and uneven skin tone to feel confident makeup free. Well, the melasma and dark spots are BACK this pregnancy! And this is the best coverage that still looks and feels natural. What I love about the IT Cosmetics CC Cream is that you can wear it lightly for a more natural look (a little goes a long way) or dab on more generously with a beauty blender for more coverage. (Dab, don’t rub!) I set my CC Cream with a setting powder. I am currently using the IT Poreless Setting Powder, but also love Laura Mercier and Super Goop!
My next most important product is my under eye cream. I was blessed with deep creases under my eyes (especially when I smile). I am sorry, Andrew. I gave them to you, too. Since I can’t do much about this, I can at least help them not to look so dark. I have tried everything including the Tarte Shape Tape, Estee Lauder Double Wear, IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye and the (expensive!) Cle De Peau Concealer, but I keep coming back to Nars. (My mom did an eye test with the Cle De Peau and we both agreed Nars gave her the better coverage, as well.) It feels less sticky and looks more natural while still getting the job done.
This Nars duo of orgasm blush and laguna bronzer can’t be beat. I always try and wear new samples I get sent and purchase when I get the urge, but I always come back to this. There is a reason it is a cult favorite.
My most asked questions is always “What do you have on your lips?!” when I am chatting with you on IG stories. The answer is always Charlotte Tilbury “Pillow Talk” lip liner with a nude gloss on top. For day, I like to layer over with a lighter pink to tone the color down a bit, but for night I like to layer over the same ‘Pillow Talk’ lip gloss. For some reason, the lipstick doesn’t come out the same for me. The key is the liner / gloss combo!
That’s it… my makeup must-haves! Let me know what you think if you have tried any of my favorites or think I missed one of your personal faves in the comments. xo

Itโs not part of the Sephora sale, unfortunately, but have you tried Trish McEvoyโs instant eye lift? My eyes are shaped similar to yours and it has been the most game changing product for me! I do want to try the Nars though. Love your blog! ๐ Katie
