The Arthur Sachs Mansion at 58 E. 66th Street

As a big fan of interior design, gawking over the Annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House was a favorite pastime when we were living in New York City.  Since I can’t see it in person this year, I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite images here.   If you are in the city, this year’s home is open to the public through June 11th at the Arthur Sachs Mansion ( 58 East 66th Street) in New York City.  At just $35 a ticket, you don’t want to miss it!

Revealing the work and creativity of twenty-two of the nationโ€™s most acclaimed designers and architects, it was hard to narrow the home down to my favorite rooms, but without further ado…

This year the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, a renowned local youth development center in the Bronx and flagship of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, celebrates its milestone 100-year anniversary of serving the communityโ€™s youth. For the next month, an estimated 20,000 people are expected to tour the completed Show House, which serves as the organizationโ€™s premiere fundraiser. Each designer was given approximately eight weeks to transform their assigned space in the Arthur Sachs Mansion, the historic home of Arthur Sachs of investment firm Goldman Sachs, built in 1909 by architects of the Gilded Age, Buchman & Fox.

**Visitors of the Show House will also be able to shop a selection of must-have curated items including antiques, fine art, home furnishings, and vintage designer clothing at the fifth annual Kips Bay Show House Shop, located in the cellar of the Arthur Sachs Mansion. The house will be open to the public seven days a week through June 11th.
