One of the most consistent request I am hearing from you across the blog and social media is for more easy outfits that will take you from one activity to another… including events with your kids. I love finding dresses like this one that are comfortable (not form-fitting) and can easily be dressed up for meetings or church, but also look great with a pair of flats for those days you don’t have time for a quick change between work and a playdate with your kids. And let’s be honest, what is easier than a dress you can throw on and not have to think about much else? (Did I mention it is under $100?!)

If it isn’t 80 degrees where you live in January (like it has been in Houston), have no fear. Layer on your tights, a great scarf and your favorite winter coat for a perfectly styled look. Oh, and as I am looking at these pictures, I am thinking about how perfect a red lip would be!
So, I bought myself a little Christmas present. 🙂 The older I get, the more I become a firm believer in the ‘less is more’ philosophy when it comes to my closet. I hadn’t bought a good pair of everyday boots since my Rag & Bone boots back in my NYC days (and those are still a go-to today) so I decided it was time to find my new perfect pair. I went with a flat heel and a little edgier style to contrast with all my feminine dresses. So far, they have made the perfect complement to everything from jeans and a chunky sweater to a tailored blazer and black pants… and now with this girly dress. Obsessed, to say the least.
