We are jumping around a little this week on our home tour, and I am taking you into our master bedroom to share some updates we made since our last reveal from two years ago. I think the biggest change are the beautiful, blue floral custom curtains!

We have made a few changes since we last shared our master bedroom, but my personal favorite are the custom curtains from The Shade Store. I felt like our bedroom was starting to look too boring with all the neutral tones so I really wanted to find a special fabric for our window treatments. When I walked into The Shade Store these curtains were actually on display on the back wall and I was drawn to them. After looking through every other swatch in the store, I couldn’t get the beautiful blue floral print out of my head – I knew I had to have them! Since the rest of the room was already so neutral, we didn’t have to change much to make them work. I was already in search for a new rug to replace the solid cream rug that moved with us from NYC. I bought it for a steal when I worked at Gilt Groupe, but it had served its purpose and was starting to show its age (or wear). The Jawdas found this beautiful blue and neutral rug that made the room feel elegant, but still very calming. Other changes we made were swapping out the lamp shades to these black shades for a little more contrast, upgrading to a King size bed, and the gold mirrors above our night stands.

Hi Caroline! I love your master. Did you keep your queen duvet? I recently upgraded to a King bed, and purchasing a new duvet AGAIN is expensive.
Very beautiful!! Love your style. What color paint did you use?
