And just like that, my heart doubled in size…
We are so excited to welcome Andrew Nolty Knapp to our family! Like his brother, he arrived early on December 9th at 5:30 pm. He is a healthy baby boy born at 6 lbs, 7 oz. and 19 inches long (at only 35 weeks, his due date was January 10th). We were so blessed and excited to bring this angel home without any NICU time (other than a few hours for monitoring).
Andrew is a popular family name on the Knapp side of the family. It is literally on almost every branch of the family tree (including FMK’s great grandfather). His middle name is after his uncle, Thomas Nolty Harper (Nolty is also my great grandfather’s name). Tommy had Down syndrome, but taught the family unconditional love and his pure heart was a constant reminder of what is truly important here on earth. We are proud and honored to pass on a small piece of these special men to our son by sharing their name.

Thank y’all so much for your sweet messages on social media over the past few weeks and for your patience while I took some time to get settled in as a new mom of two! I am officially out of my ‘back-up post’ that I was able to schedule while I got some snuggle time with Knox and Andrew. Although I am taking some time off for Christmas and New Year’s, we will have some new content for you in the upcoming weeks!
