// place your tallest objects on the top shelf to help fill the negative space between the bookshelf and the ceiling //
// bring the outside indoors to add some natural colors to your display //
// display your favorite books to showcase your interest + personality. the vertical stack were all written by my brother or sister-in-law //
// off set similar items placed on different shelfs so they aren’t directly under each other (stacks of books + silver frames) //
// group similar items together (southern cookbooks + fashion books) //
// color coördinate your groupings //
// And you’re done, that was easy! //
Great tips…..mine’s a bit of a dumping ground for everything at the moment!

Fantastic tips! I love showcasing my favourite books and treasures on a bookcase – much better than keeping them stashed away!

Couldn’t agree more! 😉
I am in love with this shelf but alas, am poor as sin. Buying a house was an already expensive process and now I am looking for ways to [affordable] add some of the more accentuate pieces like this. I’ve been scouring for something that could be similar in effect. Any suggestions are very much appreciated 🙂
Have you seen this Ikea hack? This might be perfect for you!
