Since entering my 30’s in February, I have put a lot more focus on my skin care routine. Here are a few of my current favorites, but I want to hear what you are loving too! Share what works for you in the comments below…
1. Cleansers: The best thing you can do for your skin is to wash your face every night before you go to bed. Two of my oldie, but goodie cleansers are Cetaphil Cleanser & Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser
*Use any cleanser with a Clarisonic to exfoliate your skin and deep clean your pores. On nights when you are just too tired to take care of your skin, use these L’Oreal Ideal Clean easy face wipes & make-up remover (keep it by your bed if you have to).
2. Sunscreens: Protect your skin from UVA and UVB rays with Skinceuticals or La Roche Posey sunscreen. Don’t leave your house without it!
3. Daytime moisturizer: Layer a light moisturizer under your make-up. Perricone and Olay make great options that won’t leave your skin oily.
Nighttime moisturizer: Wear a heavier moisturizer at night like this one from Olay or Mario Badescu.
4. Eye Creams: I am starting to see my age around my eyes, yikes! Time to start treating and preventing with a good eye cream. I am currently testing these from Clinique and ROC.
5. Exfoliators: I love the way my skin looks and feels after a good exfoliation! My absolute favorite is Exfolikate, but St. Ives is a wonderful (cheaper) alternative.
6. Dark Spot Treatments: I am battling the ever so lovely sun spots. I started seeing them a few summers ago, but they really showed their colors while I was pregnant last summer. Since having Knox, they have started to fade, but I have found these treatments (along with a prescription) from Clarins & Origins to be helpful.
*Also, for a spot treatment for breakouts I swear by Mario Badescu Drying Lotion.

I’ve been trying Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisterizing Lotion (I have dry skin) lately and really like it. I used that during the day because it is light weight but still very Moisterizing. At night I use Mary Kay Timewise Moisterizer. For eye cream I use Mary Kay Timewise Repair Volu-firm eye cream. I take my makeup off with either the Purity Cleanser from Philiosphy or Neutragena Naturals Fresh Cleanser + Makeup Remover (works exactly the same as the purity but a fraction of the price!). To remove my eye makeup I’ve been using coconut oil. 🙂
Make sure you let us know if you like the Clinque or ROC eye cream better! I’ve heard Philosophy has a good eye cream with retinol (name currently escapes me). But I’ve heard good things about it. The Mary Kay volu-firm is suppose to be good. We will see 🙂
I love the Josie Maran argan oil. I didn’t think I could ever use it, but I’ve been using it for 6 months and feel it has helped regulate my skin. I also use one love organics eye cream and it leaves the delicate skin around my eyes so soft.
I too just entered my thirties this year and am obsessed with taking care of my skin! The Clarisonic is an absolute must! I also just recently tried Dr. Brandt’s Microdermabrasion Skin Exfoliant and it is amazing! You can notice a difference in your skin immediately. I received this in my Ipsy bag this month but will totally be buying it once its gone; despite the hefty price tag! This one is worth it 🙂
A daily peel is what keeps my skin looking its best. I love that’s incredi-peel by bliss. I’m also a big fan of oils as my nighttime moisturizer.
I am going to have to try out mario moisturizer. I have super dry skin and use a REALLY thick moisturizer on my face day and night. I’ve also been using a Rose Water toner that is supposed to reduce redness, and get the oil out of your skin. The smell is heavenly and I think I can actually see a difference.
