I am so thrilled to share our home’s transformation and our classic holiday charm and meaningful family traditions with Southern Living magazine! It is a huge honor that the team at SL chose our home to share in this heirloom issue. Southern Living is a special magazine to me personally because it is THE magazine my mom and grandmother subscribed to and read religiously month after month, year after year.
A huge thank you to Sid, Krissy and Betsy! Please head over to Southern Living and pick up the December 2021 issue to see the article in full!
Also, a huge thank you to the village that helped create these beautiful images in the middle of a global pandemic! photography: @martaxperez | styling: @jennyoconnorstudio | interior design: @jenniferbarroninteriors

Hi, I’m searching for chippendale style dining chairs. I know you bought yours from a local consignment store? Do you have any tips on what to look for? I’m currently looking on Chairish as I live in Seattle (Southern girl) and there are tons for sale. I prefer the straight leg, really like yours so didn’t know if there’s a specific style/brand to search for? Thanks so much, love everything about your dining room! Ali
I enjoyed the YouTube of your Houston home remodel. I also live in Houston in a 1967 ranch that has an almost identical floorplan. I am completely traumatized by the corner fireplace in my ranch. The lack of symmetry and what it does to furniture placement – ugh. I have the vaulted ceilings and everything and the room would just be amazing if the fireplace wasn’t in the corner. I have no idea who thought that was a good idea! How did you go about moving the fireplace at your house? Can you recommend a contractor for that? Is that a direct vent or did you rebuild the chimney?
Thanks!
