After a week of hearty Thanksgiving meals, this past weekend has been full of Christmas decorating, family downtime, and of course holiday music and movies. Thereโ€™s nothing better than curling up on the sofa with *very* full bellies and watching a classic holiday film. Weโ€™re sharing a few of our favorites that are perfect to watch with the whole family. Read on below for our list!

Elf

It doesnโ€™t get much better than Will Ferrell as Buddy the Elf. This movie makes us laugh so hard that we cry, and also makes us shed a few happy tears. We love the New York City-at-Christmastime setting and the sweet romance between Buddy the Elf and Zoe Deschanel.

Itโ€™s a Wonderful Life

This heartwarming 1940s classic tells the story of a guardian angel who is sent to save the life of George Bailey, a husband and father who is feeling down about his life on Christmas Eve.

The Santa Clause

This 90s comedy starring Tim Allen as a dad who turns into Santa Clause is always entertaining for both kiddos and adults.

Charlie Brown Christmas

This animated classic from the ’60s is still a favorite with kiddos today. And it has one of our favorite holiday soundtracks!

Home Alone

Home Alone is always on our must-watch holiday movie list. The plot of a young boy left at home to set up booby traps for bad guys makes it a favorite with kids!

Christmas Vacation

There are a couple of close your eyes / ears moments for kids in this movie, but for the most part itโ€™s a family-friendly comedy about quirky relatives and holiday traditions.

Miracle on 34th Street

A true holiday classic, this film takes place between the Thanksgiving Day Parade and Christmas Day in New York City. This heartwarming story makes you want to believe in holiday magic.
