It is hard to believe the summer has already come and (almost) gone, but we couldn’t let it slip away without throwing a summer soirée to celebrate our favorite season. And it isn’t a proper celebration in our hometown of Houston, Texas without serving The Original Margarita.

I recently teamed up with Cointreau to celebrate the history of The Original Margarita and The Art of La Soirée for a fun event in Dallas where I learned how to shake up this classic cocktail like a pro. The event ignited my passion for entertaining and serving fresh, handcrafted cocktails to my guests, and I couldn’t wait to get home to host a soirée of my own.
With the kids heading back to school in just two short weeks, I couldn’t let the summer slip away without a proper farewell. So I invited my girlfriends over for a fun end-of-summer soirée. I wanted the evening to transport my guest to the plush and tropical landscape of Acapulco, where The Original Margarita was first crafted with Cointreau. We used palm leaves and bright pink flowers to set the stage. And since no soirée is complete without fresh cocktails, we mixed up The Original Margarita to celebrate.
Recipe:
1 oz Cointreau
2 oz Blanco Tequila
1 oz fresh lime juice
A soirée is simply an inspired gathering brought to life with creativity, an artful twist on environment, good friends, cuisine and fresh, handcrafted cocktails; all of which will leave your guest with lasting memories of an artful evening. With Cointreau it’s never a party, always a soirée.

Love this decor! How did you create the palm leaf banner with the flowers? I would love to try and recreate it!
Where could I find those placemats?
