The few extra square feet in our new living room provided us with just the right amount of space to finally get a bar cart! I love the personality they can add to a living space, not to mention the functionality when entertaining. I call this one from Lulu & Georgia the “mini bar” because it is slightly smaller than your average bar cart, which makes it perfect for any New York City apartment or small space.

I had so much fun styling ours, I thought it would be fun to share a few tips to keep your bar cart stylishly fun and full of personality!
Natures Calling: I love the natural colors fresh fruit and flowers bring to the top shelf. The lemons and limes are obviously not just for decoration, they add flavor to anyone’s drink of choice. The pink roses add a fun pop of color and bring a special touch to your entertaining area.
All in the Details: Although the most important characteristic of any drink is the flavor, don’t under-estimate the pretty packaging when you are going to display your bottles. Look for pretty labels, bottles with unique shapes and colors that coördinate with your other decorations.
On Display: Use your bar cart to display some of your favorite glasses. I love a personalized monogram so I chose to put some of FMK’s monogrammed low ball glasses on our bottom shelf.
Form meets Function: There are certain things you need handy at a bar: a bottle opener, a cocktail recipe book, straws, coasters, napkins, ice tongs, and an ice bucket. Just because these are necessities doesn’t mean they have to look like basics. Find special pieces that speak to your personal style and add flare to your entertaining space.
Always be Prepared: Always have your favorite bottle ready for a spontaneous occasion. You never know when someone might stop by.
Double Take: If it isn’t convenient for you to keep your cart/table dressed as a bar, make use of the piece as an accent table when the party is over and style it with a lamp, books and your favorite nic nacs.

I love how it turned out! I feel like these are always a necessity in a house…otherwise everything just ends up being shoved into a closed cabinet and you can never find what you want…not to mention this is a BEAUTIFUL display!
