One of the perks of having another boy was that I didn’t need to do much shopping to prepare for Andrew. Most of the things I had from baby Knox had me prepared for baby Andrew, but one thing I did need to update was our stroller. The first time around, I opted for the Bugaboo Bee. It was perfect for the city and, I loved that it was light weight and compact, but still had great storage and durability. But what it didn’t have was a second seat…
Since I was already such a fan of the quality of Bugaboo products, it made sense to upgrade to their larger stroller, the Bugaboo Donkey. This stroller stole my heart for the sleek design and innovative functionality. I chose the all black stroller for a classic, gender neutral look, but I love that they offer so many options. I still have our blue canopy that I am sure I will switch out in the spring for a little fun!
The Donkey can grow with your kids fitting a bassinet (on the left) or a seat (on the right) making it the perfect stroller for twins or siblings. When Andrew outgrows the bassinet, I will swap it out for another seat like Knox’s. And if we every have a number three (!), we can simply add this fun comfort wheeled board to roll the whole crew around!
If I just have one of the boys with me, the stroller easily and quickly adjust to a single stroller with a storage basket. I love this option for everything from holding my handbag & groceries to the boys toys and diaper bags.
Another great functionality is that both the seats can turn to face me or to face out. Knox prefers to look out, but I love having the option to turn Andrew either way.
Lastly, this bassinet is perfect for using at home or for travel. We have the stand so we can use it in our bedroom or a hotel room and we don’t have to travel with a pack and play or a high chair. You can simply clip the bassinet or seat into the stand to create a baby bed or high chair on the go! I also love how easily it clips in and out so if Andrew falls asleep on a walk around the neighborhood, I can just carry the bassinet inside without waking him.

Thank you to Bugaboo for continuing to be so good to us! This post was not sponsored, but the stroller was a baby gift from our friends at Bugaboo. You can see our trip to San Fransisco in the Bugaboo Bee III here.

I have been researching this stroller and I’m glad you did a post on it. I love the Bugaboo and have one already, but I’m afraid the Donkey will be to wide for stores and going in and out of places. Did you have any issue with that?
Thanks for doing a stroller post! How wide is this stroller? Do you have problems going in and out of doors with it or grocery store aisles? Also, how easy is it to collapse? Do you need to remove several pieces before being able to collapse it? I would love to hear more of the nitty gritty details on this particular double stroller. 🙂
Adorable & functional! Leave it to the chicest blogger to marry “fashion & function”! You Knox & Andrew look so cute walking down the street…with a Bugaboo built for two! Love!
