I took advantage of Kate‘s trip to Denver this week to shoot some fall looks with her in one of my favorite places.  We go to Colorado every summer as a family with the whole Harper crew, but I never take blog pictures because we live in our work out clothes and spend our days hiking and lounging around.  I thought this would be a fun opportunity to go for work and actually get a chance to wear some of my favorite fall styles long before the temperatures allow me to in Houston.  One of my favorite stops, which I had never been to before this trip, was the Red Rocks Park & Amphitheater.  We will have to come back to see an actual concert or to hike the beautiful trails next time!

I am in full fall fashion mode over here (hazard of the job, I guess), but it is only August which means it will be months before we have fall weather in Houston.  I love finding things like this moody floral maxi dress that I can wear now and style into the fall.  If you don’t have a denim jacket in your wardrobe, you need one.  I wear this thing year around and I never travel without it.  It is definitely on my top 10 list when it comes to wardrobe staples!  I snagged these boots on sale at the end of the season last year, but there is an almost identical pair in stores now.  I love how the stud details dress up the flat heel for an edgy take on this classic style.
