It doesn’t seem like too long ago that it was the glory days of the logo trend — when brands like Coach, Kate Spade New York, Louis Vuitton, and Gucci all flaunted their letters. This ’90s fashion trend was bold, playful, and even coveted until it ultimately disappeared after there were counterfeit bags on every street corner in Chinatown (and Harwin Drive in Houston). And then, they were back. Logos have been popping up all over the runway for the past year and have reappeared on everything from T-shirts to handbags and accessories. From elevated brands like Gucci to down-to-earth brands like Levi’s, and even non-fashion brands like Google, logo-adorned clothes can be seen on the most fashionable street style blogs as well as in the most ordinary places.
We know it’s not a trend revival that everyone is on board with, and we’ll admit that we’ve been hesitant to embrace Logo Mania. We’ve slowly warmed up to the idea though, and think logos can be styled in a way that is classic instead of flashy. We’d love to hear your thoughts on the trend (yay or nay??) in the comments below! But, first, read on for our favorite styling tricks to pull off this tongue-and-cheek statement trend.

1. Wear A Bold Logo Accessory & Keep The Rest Minimal
Logos make a *big* statement. If you’re wanting to try out the trend but don’t want to be flashy, build your outfit around a logo accessory and keep the rest of your look minimal. We love finding vintage designer logo accessories from the ’80s and ’90s and pairing them with sophisticated basics.
2. Embrace Casual Fridays (or Weekends) with a Logo Tee
If you work in a professional office setting where something like a logo tee won’t normally fly, try out the trend on a casual, meeting-free Friday, or on the weekend. You can dress up a logo tee with chic pants, heels, and feminine accessories and nail the “pulled together without trying” look. If spending money on a graphic t-shirt isn’t on your shopping priorities list, dust off an oldie in your drawer or stop into a Goodwill next time you pass one!
3. Try a Classic Crossbody
We can totally get on board with a classic, logo-embellished bag. This is the perfect accessory to try and find in a vintage store or on eBay. A statement crossbody will dress up any look and is perfect for work-to-dinner.

4. Incorporate a Logo Into Your Travel Uniform
When we travel, comfort is key, but we also want to look stylish. You can’t get more comfortable than a tee layered under a cardigan or jacket — and substituting your traditional tee for one with a logo will give your outfit an instant trend upgrade without sacrificing chic travel style.
5. Opt for Bold Sneakers
Sneakers and athleisure are probably the best way to ease into the logo trend, because we’re pretty used to wearing tennis shoes and workout clothes with logos on them. What makes it a little more tricky is wearing them with your everyday outfits like jeans and even dresses, instead of just with your Lululemons. Try pairing a bold logo sneaker or hat with cropped denim or a midi floral dress on your next weekend jaunt — you’ll be comfortable and up with the latest trend. 😉
What do you think? Are you in or out on logos? We’d love to hear in the comments below!
Love this post – I’ve had my eye on the Gucci belt for quite some time now, just need to actually pick it up!!
