Traveling has always been a big part of my life. Growing up a pilotโs daughter, I took my first flight at only 5 weeks old to visit my grandparents. I honestly believe all the family vacations we took, the places we traveled and the experiences we gained played a major role into the person I am today.
Because traveling played such a major role in my life, it is important to me to give our son, Knox, the same adventures and experiences. So one of our New Year resolutions is my #AlamoDriveHappy resolution โ to give Knox a new experience on every trip we take. This is important to me because I want to make sure Knox experiences the cultures, the food and the people of the places we visit. Itโs a great big world out there with so much to offer so it is our goal to veer off the โtouristโ route and do something a local would do on every vacation.
Through my past Alamo post and during our Twitter chat, we talked a lot about #MomProblems that come with traveling and how we can prevent our trips from being โbasicโ. It is my hope through this resolution of sorts that it will take our family travel beyond basic while also solving a few of those problems we discussed. It is sure to solve the boredom aspect because who could be bored when you are experiencing something new and exciting?!

What happened to the cute fashion blog I used to follow? Car rentals, mattresses? Just my two cents, but it was adorable before, go back to your roots!
Hi Amy!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I certainly want to hear from my readers. You are what makes this blog a success and what makes me keep working at it each day. Things definitely haven’t been normal around here lately due to more personal matters and the move, but I promise to be back at the usual outfit post, etc. in January. I have been home a lot the past month for family matters which meant away from my photographer, and to be honest, in light of everything going on it kind of got put on the back burner so to speak…
These two post were collaborations I did that I thought would be relevant to my readers, but I never intended them to run back to back. One of them is late going up because I have been out of the office.
That being said, I am more than excited to be settled in our new home and to get back to work in the New Year! Thanks for sticking it out with me!

Such a cute little outfit! I feel the same way about my son….want him to experience different places and cultures. I definitely prefer traveling by plane than car with a little one
