It’s a new year and, as cliché as it is, the fresh start always motivates me to get organized and #WinTheDay. For me, this means giving my mind and body a fresh start.
I teamed up with Clearasil to give my postnatal skin a clean start in the new year. Their ‘daily clear’ wash, scrub and pads make my routine simple and effective… perfect for this new mommy! You can get a free rebate here to try it out for yourself!
Now for the mind part. I have trouble focusing and being productive when there is a mess or disorganization around me. To kick off the new year, I cleaned and organized my desk space, bought myself some fresh flowers (in HoH orange, of course!) and displayed some of my new Christmas presents.
Starting the day off with a fresh cup of coffee in my favorite mug is a simple luxury that starts my day off on the right track. It truly is the little things in life.
How cute are these gold monogram business card & pen holders?! This addition to my desk was one of my favorite Christmas presents. Also, notice my fancy new printer/scanner/fax machine?! I got tired of walking back and forth from Fed Ex Kinkos every time I needed to sign and send a contract so I got HOUSE of HARPER this for Christmas. 🙂
I started my inspiration board before Knox was born and it is still only half way complete. I guess I should add that to my new year resolutions. I also recently added the magnetic boards to the wall and I am searching for the perfect inspirational quote to put on the top left one. I would love your suggestions in the comments below!

Great quote (especially in NYC), thanks for sharing!
Wish you would come back and organize me!! Looks great!

Watch your thoughts; they become your words.
Watch your words; they become your actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become your character.
My fav of all time!
I have lots of favorite quotes, but here are four I especially like:
1. It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice. (I grew up hearing this almost daily from my mother)
2. The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary.
3. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15
4. What does the Lord require of you? To do justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8
