Thanks so much to those of you who weighed in on my upholstery question for my grandparent’s chairs! I have actually decided to keep the chairs in the current orange velvet fabric and leave them in my office (reveal coming soon!). I mean, it was just too perfect not to. My signature color on my grandparents chairs – how could I not?!
So now, back to the living room. We have officially been in the house for almost two months, and I finally feel like I am starting to get a vision on how I want it to all come together. I want to mix my traditional roots and antique furniture with some really fun and colorful fabrics (and walls). I am so inspired by Tory Burch and Aerin Lauder’s homes. I love the way they playfully mix patterns, but make it look so sophisticated by incorporating blue & white porcelain (my favorite!) and antique furniture.
So, here we go – the color inspiration for our living room is blue and green with animal print accents (I am thinking on my little antique stools)!
Love love – the color pallet is beautifully sophisticated but so fun and livable. Can’t wait to see what you do with the space.
