One of my favorite times of the day is first thing in the morning before Fred leaves for work. When Knox wakes up, he comes to our bed and we snuggle and watch his favorite cartoon before Dad has to get up and get ready for his day. But after we brought Andrew home, we quickly realized one thing; our family didnโt comfortably fit in our queen size bed anymore.
We are in the process of decorating our house and there is so much we need to put the finishing touches on it – from art to rugs – that I couldnโt justify spending money to replace a perfectly good mattress. And letโs be honest, mattress shopping is overwhelming. It is such a big expense and you know you will be using it for the next 8 years so there is a lot of pressure to get it right. So when Leesa reached out to see if we would be interested in testing their mattress, I jumped at the opportunity.
Going in to this, I knew I would be gaining a bigger bed that would more comfortably fit our family, but to be honest, I was a little nervous about replacing our practically new mattress that we love for a less expensive (by a few thousand dollars!) mattress. But after reading all the wonderful reviews of Leesa and talking to a friend who sleeps on one and raved about it, we decided it was worth a shot.
My first impression was surprise. The mattress shipped right to our door (after only a few days) in a small box that I couldnโt believe housed our new king size mattress. No scheduling a delivery date and having to sit at home waiting during a four-hour delivery window, score! FMK was even more surprised when I asked him to help me set it up. We simply unfolded it from out of the box and watched it expand into a king size mattress before our eyes! (They say it is ready in 1 hour and even better in 24!)
We have now been sleeping on the bed for a full month, and I am so excited to report that we LOVE it. And this is coming from a couple that thought they were happy with their previous mattress. The three layers create a simple and sleek formula that provides support, contouring and cooling technology. I have to say (besides the obvious comfort) the best part for me now is the cooling technology. Your hormones are no joke after having a baby and while you are nursing so anything to help minimize or prevent night sweats is huge! And on the new baby note, FMK would say the best part is not feeling me get out of bed every three hours to feed Andrew. When Knox was breaking in the mattress in these pictures, I literally couldnโt feel him jumping on the bed, crazy!

I love it when a company can shake up a market the way Leesa has for the mattress world. You no longer have to shell out enough money to pay for a family vacation for a comfortable mattress. They took out the middleman and created a great direct to consumer business that makes it a win, win for everyone. Oh, and did I mention, they also donate a mattress for every ten mattresses sold (much like the popular Toms and Warby Parker business models, but for mattresses). If you still arenโt sold because the thought of shopping for a mattress online scares you, donโt worry. They offer a 30-day return window, another unheard of concept from a mattress company.
This post is brought to you in partnership with Leesa. Thank you for supporting the brands we love here at HOUSE of HARPER!
