I have been a little hesitant to jump on the drop-waist train for fear it isn’t the most flattering cut on my body type, but I recently discovered it is the perfect silhouette for my growing bump! I love this number from Free People. In fact, so many of their boho dresses are the perfect alternative to maternity styles! I love that I will enjoy them after pregnancy, as well. What do you think? Are you a fan of the drop-waist?

I never would have thought of a drop waisted dress for maternity wear, but it looks great on you! I’m fifteen weeks, and at that weird spot where none of my old clothes fit, but I can’t justify getting anything new just yet. This is adorable though – and you’re right! It can definitely be worn after the baby is born too. Perfect!
This is such a pretty dress, I love the opening on the back!

I love this! But, I have a question for you. When buying items like this that were not maternity but look like the perfect fit(!), did you size up or did this particular item just have enough fabric and give to be generous to your belly?
