Wow, what a week! Things were even busier than normal at the office and somehow today is already Friday, and I am just now able to post this outfit from last weekend. This is the first time since I launched the blog that I have gone a whole week without a post and, hopefully, it won’t happen again any time soon.

Last weekend, one of my best friends visited me from Dallas, and she so kindly snapped these pictures while we were enjoying a girls day shopping in SoHo. The fall is my favorite time for fashion because you can add dimension to your outfit with interesting layers and scarves, but it isn’t so cold yet that you have to hide it all under a big coat.

The special detail of the ruffles on this jacket adds a welcome feminine touch to an otherwise fairly masculine blazer. Paired over a gray sweater (also with ruffles) and a blue stripe shirt, it made for the perfect outfit on a beautiful fall day.
