The spring weather has me waking up every morning excited to seize the day. I have a whole new energy level and appreciation of New York City. It is amazing how a few degrees in temperature can totally change my perspective! (I guess this Texas girl doesn’t know how to cope with a north east winter.)
FMK snapped these photos on our walk to work this morning. Although the park is beautiful with a layer of white fluffy snow, I prefer this scene with the trees in bloom and people enjoying their morning coffees on the park benches.
Now, let’s talk about my outfit. I am sure some of you are wondering what I was thinking this morning pairing this t-shirt with this skirt, but I am a fan of mixing prints and (for me) it usually involves a stripe. I personally like to think of my stripe shirts as neutrals – they go with everything! Plus, I love how you can dress up a t-shirt with a pencil skirt for the office. (Every work place is different, but I am lucky to NOT have a dress code! Crazy right?!)
outfit details: skirt: j.crew (similar) // t-shirt: old navy // shoes: zara // necklace: c/o baublebar // bracelets: j.crew, c/o rebecca minkoff + baublebar // handbag: 3.1 philip lim
I hope the spring weather is bringing you the same joy this morning! Have a great week! xo

This is the perfect work outfit! Love the mix of patterns!!!
This is such a pretty look! I love the mixed prints and am oh so jealous of your blossoming trees! I don’t really have a work dress code either which allows for a good mix of casual & dressy pieces, too! Yay for vague ‘business casual’ work places!
It looks great. Here in Texas we are already hitting 90 a few days here and there. Can’t handle it! Enjoy that New England weather – crazy mixed prints and all.
I love your skirt! So cute! I need to do a better job of putting on my adventurous shoes and start mixing some prints. I don’t know what’s holding me back, but thanks for the inspiration!
Love this look, that skirt is so cute!

Love the mixing of prints. I 100% agree that stripes should be treated as a neutral, they go with absolutely everything! Happy Spring!
